American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is fed up with constant jokes about her weight, she has revealed.

Kelly, 27, won the first season of the hit US talent show and talking about the weight jibes she said: "For seven years it's been happening. It's like: 'OK cool, the fat joke'."

She added: "I love my body. I'm very much OK with it. I don't think artists are ever the ones who have the problem with their weight, it is other people."

There have also been reports about Kelly's sexuality, she said: "The rumors are not helping me on the dating front!"

She added: "I prefer the boys. I'm extremely flattered when I do get hit on by girls, and I think it's hot, but I'm not into it. I like boys."

But she said there is no rush to find a partner just yet, Kelly said: "I'm only 27, not 40 and still single!"

She added: "I enjoy being single, I love work and I think people are so passive with relationships and I'm not that person.

"I'm an extremist, I'm either in a relationship or I'm not. I'm honest about it and I'll tell people, it's just there's nothing to tell. I have a very good life."

I don't think she's fat, but we're in a society who wants everybody to be like top models, but top models aren't what real people should be
I don't care what they say about her, I thing she's ok

I don't see the problem with her weight, i think she has a gorgeous figure and she looks absolutly stunning!! Just because she isnt size zero it doesnt mean that she is any less of a person. I think she makes a good role model to teenagers, just for the basic fact she isnt size zero and she has made something of herself. I just wish pople would give her a bit more respect, as long as she is happy with the way she is then way are people moaning about her? If they dont like her weight then they dont have to look at her do they?! Anyway her music is just amazing and she has a really really good voice, i wish i was as good as her, and looked like her!! She is stunning!!

She's still pretty and I like her stance on life, food, and relationships. Plus, her music is still **** good so everybody needs to get over the weight thing. A large percentage of America is overweight anyway - focus less on the celebrities and more on the general population.
