Black Eyed Peas get aboriginal welcome in Oz

The Black Eyed Peas arrived in Sydney last night to a private Aboriginal welcome to Australia ceremony.

The band flew in from Singapore to be greeted by a noted elder named Aunty Sylvia Scott. Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo will play their first Australian show on October 1 in the eastern city of Brisbane.

The Black Eyed Peas played to some notoriety in Malaysia where they were finally given permission to perform before a Muslim audience.

The ceremony also marked the Nomad Two Worlds collaborative art project, which is a multimedia art project created by indigenous artist Clifton Bieundurry and the fashion photographer Russell James, who is a good friend of the Black Eyed Peas and who is linked to Kristin Davis.
