iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove is set to sing a track on the new animated movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Miranda, 16, is best-known for her role as Megan Parker in Drake and Josh and Carly Shay in iCarly.

She is also known for playing student Summer Hathaway in Jack Black's smash-hit movie School of Rock.

It is claimed the actress will sing the track Raining Sunshine, which will be played over the end credits of the film, based on a popular children's book.

The film is out in cinemas on September 18 and will star the voices of Anna Faris, Andy Samberg and Bill Hader.

Lia Vollack, president of worldwide music for Sony Pictures Entertainment, said: "She's an amazing artist who brings her smart, fresh style to our film."
