Jay-Z - Kanye West's outburst down to him being "passionate"

Rapper Jay-Z has said Kanye West's outburst at the VMAs is down to him being a "passionate" person.


Kanye, 32, caused controversy at the recent MTV Video Music Awards when he interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video and said that fellow nominee Beyonce has "one of the best videos of all time".


Jay-Z said: "He's like my little brother. I mean I pretty much introduced him."


The 39-year-old rapper revealed his thoughts on the incident and said: "First it was rude, because it was her moment."


But Jay-Z added that the whole incident had been a bit "blown up" and he said: "I think it was rude. But I think the way he was treated, it was on the front of every newspaper... he didn't kill anybody. You know... no one got harmed. But it was pretty... pretty rude."


He added: "I think he's passionate."


Asked if he gave him advice, the rapper said: "That he has to watch his passion because he's passionate. At the end of the day, we're gonna celebrate him for his passion and not vilify him.


"Because his passion is the same thing that causes him to make [the album] Graduation and all these great records, but it's the thing that causes him to step out of line sometimes."
