Meryl Streep shows off musical skills with new concertina

Meryl Streep showed off her musical side as she played her concertina on US TV.


Streep told Conan O'Brien she had been given the instrument just days before but was already proficient.


“It is an amazing instrument, it sounds like breathing,” said Streep.


“I have already written a song. You know the great myth about the sirens, the women that would lure sailors on to the rocks? This is called Siren Song.”


Streep then made her instrument sound like a police car siren.


“It's a beautiful thing, it's a pity I can't play it.”
