MGMT Sues the President of France

MGMT have served Nicolas Sarkozy with a lawsuit, claiming he didn’t give the duo proper compensation for the use of their single “Kids” in the French President’s online videos. According to MGMT’s lawyer, Isabelle Wekstein, 53 Euros (around $90) was originally paid to use the song, but repeated plays have brought up issues of infringement and counterfeiting. ... read full article
