Miley Cyrus: Comments about the way I look can be hard to take

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus said comments on the way she looks can sometimes be hard to take.

The 16-year-old Disney star is the lead in the new Hannah Montana movie, which is based on the TV show of the same name that shot Cyrus to fame at just 13 years old.

She said: "There are always lots of comments about you and that is hard. How many kids haven't had braces? How many kids don't put on a bit of weight when they grow from 5ft to 5ft 4in? It's normal!"

Cyrus added to British newspaper the Daily Mirror: "You are either too skinny or too fat and if you are normal then there's nothing special about you. No one is ever going to be perfect. There are always bad comments. You think you are looking your best but someone is going to hate what you are wearing and how you look."

But Cyrus said she knows the criticism is all part of the package of being a worldwide star: "The little things I lose, like the privacy, are made up for by the things I gain, so it is totally worth it because I am living my dream."
