Patrick Swayze to be cremated in 48 hours - exclusive

Patrick Swayze will be cremated within 48 hours, according to reports.

The dearly loved actor and star of Dirty Dancing will have his ashes spread across the ranch he loved in New Mexico, a source said.

Swayze, who died yesterday at 57 from pancreatic cancer, had turned his Rancho de Días Alegres [Ranch of Happy Days] into a wildlife preserve and timber farm.

He loved to ride horses there and spent hours in the mountains and canyons of the ranch.

Swayze's body is currently located in Los Angeles.

He said his greatest role was to love his wife and childhood sweetheart Lisa Niemi.
