Paula Abdul said throwing diva turns on new gig

Paula Abdul is said to be making the demands of a diva on her newest showbiz engagement.


Abdul, since leaving American Idol, has signed up for a couple of diva-themed reality TV segments.


When taping for VH-1 Divas she reportedly demanded a lot of minor changes. She was said to "freak out" when she saw a pre-taped skit, crying and demanding changes.


A source said of the changes, including one for a major dance number: "It's getting stressful."


Abdul's representative said of the incident: "It's a live show, of course they're making last-minute changes."


Abdul was said to have set her own worth for American Idol at $20million but to have been offered less than half by the show's execs. When she suddenly quit after eight seasons, they were left scrambling to find the talent needed to fill her very big shoes.


Abdul congratulated her successor as judge, Ellen DeGeneres.
