Russell Brand reveals new relationship with Katy Perry has tamed him

British comedian Russell Brand has revealed that his relationship with pop star Katy Perry has helped to calm him down.

The UK funnyman - who has been dating the I Kissed A Girl singer since September - admitted that he is finally happy.

He said: "I'm not drinking or doing drugs anymore, so I don't have that problem.

"My new relationship is helping me calm down. In the past, there were some times when I didn't like myself for what I was doing.

“I feel better now with who I am.”

He added: "I'm really enjoying myself now. It's a beautiful thing. I think maybe I'm really happy for the first time.”

Brand, 34, reportedly said recently that he thinks he is "in love" with 25-year-old Perry.
