Whitney Houston set for first interview in seven years

Singer Whitney Houston is to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show for her first interview in seven years.

Houston, 46, will release her much-anticipated album I Look to You on August 31 and will appear as the first guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show's 24th season, airing on September 14.

Winfrey, 55, who has interviewed some of the world's biggest stars, has stated that the appearance will be "the most anticipated music interview of the decade".

Houston recently held listening parties for the upcoming album across the world in LA, NYC and London. The disk will be her seventh studio album and marks her comeback after a seven-year break from the industry.
