Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to co-host Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Hollywood power couple Will and Jada Pinkett Smith will co-host the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo, Norway.

The December 10 show will feature a stellar line-up of Wyclef Jean, Toby Keith, Donna Summer, Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Amadou & Mariam, a blues and jazz duet from Mali.

Will and Jada said jointly: "The opportunity to recognise the laureate's contributions to the world peace movement will be an awe-inspiring experience. We are both humbled and honoured to take part in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert this year."

The concert takes place the day after the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize awards ceremony but the prize is announced earlier - in Oslo on October 9.

The secretary of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Geir Lundestad, said: "We're excited to have Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith join us as hosts for the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Together they've had a global impact on the arts and philanthropy and will be excellent ambassadors for peace."
