Amy Adams offered Rock Of Ages role

Actress Amy Adams might play the female lead in Tom Cruise's big screen musical Rock Of Ages. According to Deadline.com, Adams is reportedly being "heavily courted" by director Adam Shankman for the movie. If the 36-year-old signed on for the flick, she would play a journalist who is intending to write an expose on rock star Stacee Jax [Tom Cruise], but ends up sleeping with him instead. ??Anne Hathaway was allegedly originally offered the role, but her commitment to The Dark Knight Rises meant she couldn't do it.
