Laryngitis derails Adele, Beyonce duet

Adele was reportedly forced to turn down a collaboration with her idol Beyonce thanks to a severe bout of laryngitis. According to The Sun, Beyonce originally wanted to duet with Adele as part of her headlining performance at Glastonbury on Sunday, but called in Gwyneth Paltrow when she learned of Adele's illness. A source told the newspaper: "Adele was absolutely gutted, Beyonce is one of her big heroes. It would have been the stuff of dreams to perform with her - the gig of her life. But docs have told her she's got to rest her voice or risk damaging her prized asset. She hopes one day they can do something together." The British singer is recuperating at home but recently announced plans to resume her US tour.
