Aerosmith is seeking a new singer following frontman Steven Tyler's sudden departure.

The rock band's guitarist Joe Perry said he and the band were 'positively looking for a new singer to work with'.

Perry's announcement came on his Twitter page after several weeks of hints from both Tyler and Perry.

Tyler's bouts of illness after he fell from the stage had caused the American rockers to shelve the rest of a North American tour.

And there had also been reports that Perry and Tyler had been feuding after being songwriting partners for 40 years and writing such hits as Walk this Way and Love in an Elevator.

Perry has claimed that Tyler refused to wr .....

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has not spoken to the rest of the band once in the two months since he fell off stage.

Revealing deeper problems for the rock legends than Tyler's injuries, guitarist Joe Perry says the singer only communicates with the band through his managers.

And hinting at even bigger, long-running tensions, Perry also complained about Tyler's reluctance to pen new tunes with him - with the once-legendary songwriting team not having written a new song together in 10 years.

"I'm down in my studio every day, writing, and for some reason he wants to write with people like (songwriter) Mark Hudson and whatever," Perry said. "I can't explain it."

The singer was in "good spirits" as he left the grounds, Sanborn said. "He was good natured about it," h .....
