Alicia Keys to receive Golden Note award

Songbird Alicia Keys is to win a special award in recognition of her successful music career at the Rhythm & Soul Awards.

The 29-year-old will receive the Golden Note at the Beverly Hills ceremony later this month.

ASCAP - the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers - hosts the annual Rhythm & Soul Awards.

And the Golden Note - according to the organisation - is given to "songwriters, composers and artists who have achieved extraordinary career milestones".

Keys sold 11 million copies of her debut album, Songs in A Minor, which was released in 2001.

In 2005, she became the first female R&B artist to have three number-one .....

Hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz has lifted the lid on his relationship with songbird Alicia Keys.

The New York-born singer has been quietly dating the producer for several months, according to US reports.

Beatz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, is in the process of divorcing wife Mashonda, with whom he has a two-year-old son.

"What we have is so precious," he said.

"But we're nowhere near ready for a baby or a ring."

Beatz does not leave much to the imagination in the remix of Drake's new song Best I Ever Had.

"Wake up in the morning and my baby cooked me breakfast. A's naked wearing nothing on but a necklace...
