Life is a waterfall
We?re one in the river
And one again after the fall

Swimming through the void
We hear the word
We lose ourselves but we find it all

'Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go
But you never want to stay

And we are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play
But you never want to lose

Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind
You free your life

Life is a waterfall
We drink from the river
Then we turn around and put up our walls

Swimming through the void
We hear the word
We lose ourselves but we find it all

'Cause we are the ones that want to play
Always want to go
But you never want to stay

We are the ones that want to choose
Always want to play
But you never want to lose

Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind
You free your life

Aerials, so up high
When you free your eyes
Eternal prize

Aerials in the sky
When you lose small mind
You free your life

Aerials, so up high
When you free your eyes
Eternal prize

maybe this song is ment for people to look at it and see what they wont to so you can get what you can out of it...if you think its one fine or if you think its another way fine. life is to sort to stress over everything just let the song move you how ever way you let it. there is nothen wrong with people thinking its anti-this or not anti-that its who you are and if you like being like that then let it go. just stick to you being you.
i really do love this song it just gets into my soul and hypnotizes me and i feel sooo at peace.hehe :D(thats kind of deep...LOL)

I belive this song is Religious, not Anti-Religious.
Because once you get 4 minutes into the song, it changes, and Serj begins to chant, if you listen closely, hes chanting Angels.

man there are many different ways to look at this song, were not sure if it's religious or anti-religious. Only one way to find out and that's if you talk with the composers ;p so i wont even try to 'explain' this song as some of you have... just causes more problems v_v

i disagree with general hanibal. SOAD are huge christians so why would they make an anti religion type song? this song is pretty much asking poeple to open there mind and not close things out. in lines 4-6 its talking about how your taught things hence "the word" which is often refered to in the bible (again another reason why this isnt anti religious) but you lose yourself because you dont know what to do with the truth so as said in lines 16-18 people instead of accepting turn around and put up mental walls and try to block out the truth. in other words they want to be in-control of what they hear and learn which is described in lines 7-12. this is saying how people always want to chose what happens and cant take the fact that bad things sometimes happen and you just have to accept it. finally in the ending lines it refers to opening youur eyes and ur mind and it gives u eternal prize and u free your life which i think means that when you finally accept the bad things in life u will see the big picture and begin to see things more clearly and ultimately end up with eternal life or ascend to heaven.

this is just my interpretation of it.

General Hannibal has a good example, 'cause there are no hidden meanings, there are hidden suggestions to make people think in a specified way, it coincides with a distorted theology and philosophy.

Sorry, but there are a lot of hidden meanings in these lyrics, not in the metaphorical way, but in the philosophy and ideological way. These songs are not good.

Why do people have to drag hidden meanings out of songs. There aren't any. I could find all the "Paul is Dead" things, which are fake by the way, but I don't see anything here. Its a good song, leave it be.

this song is anything but anti religious

"swimming through the void we hear the word"

this is imo referring to openly sinning(and experiencing the negative consequences of such a lifestyle) then being brought to "the word"(bible)

"we lose ourselves but we find it all"

putting the old sinful self to death(which is extremely difficult) only to find life

"when u lose small mind you free your eyes"

this has to do with the world and its shallow understandings and basically what happens when you start to have faith

"when u free your eyes eternal prize"

and with faith you truely begin to see the world for what it really is and in the acceptance of the gift of life you are given an eternal prize

I'm convinced that soad is a christian band in disguise
