No offence Songslover, but I think you're taking the title just a little bit literally. I mean, yes, the good thing about music is that it is open for interpretation.. however I'm pretty sure the song is simply saying that this new man changed her life completely, and everything that happened before she met him seemed irrelevant when she was with him. This song describes a young girl with amnesia meets with a guy in the park. If I am correct at this point, that boy is her boy friend who loves her so much. Since she lost most of her memory, she simply responds with what she thinks and knows-she doesn't know how much that boy loves her. Rather than telling that boy's feeling, the song approaches the boy's feeling by describing how bland she is when facing him. This approach not only implies the sadness and distress in the girl's situation, but it surprisingly reflects the fact that boy wishes she can remember every happened to them. That is why in the beginning, he asked if the girl came here a lot, because they came here a lot! (I can go on and talk all day long to expand the interpretation on this song, but I am not going to do that.) Read the lyrics, and think about the boy and the girl. They were once lovers, but things changed. What if this kind of thing happens to you? Will you try to wake her up, or will you try to be there quietly just for protecting, watching and waiting for her?

Actually, the song is about her meeting a new guy. She is already in a relationship, and from the fact that she has a ring on her finger, I think it's safe to say that she is engaged to her boyfriend. However, she then meets a new guy, and he makes her forget about everything, including her new boyfriend. That's why she says "Didn't know it was over til you came over". She also says "I'mma tell my guy he should just effin go" meaning she is gonna dump her boyfriend for this new guy. So it's actually not sad for her, but more for the boyfriend that she is gonna leave for the new guy.
