My other half and i watched American Idol together. When Kelly came out and began singing this song, i was wholeheartedly touched by her performance. I began trembling as i listened closely to the lyrics and thought to myself " She can't be singing about me? " i was totally amazed!! She was! singing about my life, before i met my other half. Glancing over at him, my heart flooded with so much emotions came rushing in! Feeling so blessed! Sensing the bond between us at it's strongest peak!! Felt more love for him and all the love coming from him that i began tearing, then broke down softly turning the other way so he wouldn't see. But as i turned and saw the look on his face it just said it all. I knew that God touched our hearts, using Kelly's gifts in a big big way, all for His glory!! Amen!! As a child and during my teenage years, the first verse describes me, a lost and scared little girl who doesn't fit nor belong here. Something was wrong with me, thoughts of killing myself was constantly on my mind, wanting to go home to heaven. Time's spent alone were long and peaceful. I'd dream of living in my white castle in the sky, a place of security and loneliness, and i am happy and free (: Then, at the age of 19, God changed all that and blessed me with a man to love. This man filled in all the void and emptiness I had ihat i had in my heart. And just like that!! my life changed. Never in my life time had i ever thought of another person could make me feel alive again, deep in my soul. I never felt before ur touch. Wow!! Thank you Kelly for an outstanding performance!!
