Kendrick Lamar is an up-and-coming West Coast rapper who has appeared on tracks by heavy hitters like Drake and Game, and was even unofficially crowned the “New King of the West Coast” by Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Game while onstage with the three rappers at a show. Now Lamar is getting some great mainstream buzz after Lady Gaga tweeted about him to her +26 million followers. Here’s what she had to say:
@kendricklamar What a sweetie calling me this morning to see how I'm doin. See you soon. love from across the pond. #Rigamortis

and

And since Lady Gaga, Drake, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre combined can’t be wrong, this Kendrick Lamar line is our lyric of the week:
“Recognize Kendrick, in the battery / And I’m charged up, and the catastrophe / Is charged up, and the audacity”
