Have you been wondering what a lyrical mashup of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” and Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” would sound like? Enter Pomplamoose, a hip music duo who did just that: create an entirely new song from the lyrics of the music world’s biggest hits at the moment. Entitled “Do Not Push”, Pomplamoose gives a cool, electro-pop feel to the combination of the two songs, using the anthemic Gotye chorus (“BUT YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO CUT ME OFF!”) with Carly’s sweet lyric lines (“Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad”). Who knew that both song’s lyrics would sound so great together?
