Due June 11th, The Lonely Island’s third release The Wack Album will most likely be another hilarious collection of parody rap from the LOL-worthy duo. The group’s latest single, “Semicolons”, features one of our faves Solange, and with it comes a lyric video so you can memorize the words. What’s the song about, exactly? Parodying Nicki Minaj’s way of rapping where she spits a line then a single word that has to do with it (using the semicolon, of course), it’s a funny take on hip-hop’s popular style of verse.

In case you weren’t aware, Daft Punk’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album Random Access Memories was released yesterday, and we can’t stop playing the funky, prog-rock with a touch of disco record. So it was a delight to find out that the album’s bonus track, “Horizon“, was available for us to hear. Although the song is sans lyrics (like the other RAM track “Motherboard“), the emotions evoked in the track are good enough for us. A lot of people may expect electronic club bangers from the French duo, but “Horizon” is reminiscent of late 70s/early 80s progressive rock, like Pink Floyd or Supertramp. We think the bonus track is amazing, and we’re dying to hear more…

Jennifer Lopez was one of the first pop singers to really establish her name as a brand, offering more than just music to fans around the world. With a clothing line, perfume, and TV programming under her belt, the diva appeared on CBS Sunday Morning to talk about her famous empire and how it’s overwhelming, but worth it:

“Of course, it’s overwhelming sometimes. And, yes, you’re right, at times I’m like, ‘Whoa, what am I taking on?’ I’m taking on so much. It’s so overwhelming. But I feel like life is overwhelming. And you can’t be afraid of that.”

As the leader of iconic rock band U2, Bono is also a renowned humanitarian and charity worker. In an interview with Charlie Rose on CBS This Morning, the frontman said he’s not pushing an idea of charity at all, but righting injustices when it comes to his mission to end poverty and other issues worldwide. He also discussed being a songwriter, which is, in his own words, his drug of choice:

“I cannot believe…you know, that you hear this melody line in your head. You sort of take it down. And you find words for it and an arrangement for it. And the next thing you know, you can be in a car in Tokyo. And it’s on the radio. That’s really my drug of choice.”

The 90s are back, people, and with it comes this hilarious compilation of misheard song lyrics from the popular decade. Get ready to be killed with cuteness: Owl City‘s new ad for Oreo cookies, featuring his original song “Wonderfilled”, is almost too precious for us to handle. Showcasing the singer/songwriter’s lyrics about how giving one of the irresistible cookies to famous villans would turn them into good guys, this adorably-animated clip is totally fitting to Owl City’s music. We’re not gonna lie: if the Big Bag Wolf or Dracula did indeed hear Owl City’s little ditty and have a sweet treat or two, they’d totally ditch their evil ways and come on over to the good side.

Commander Chris Hadfield, a Canadian astronaut who’s spent the past five months in space, did one of the coolest things to ever be done in the universe: he recorded a cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” while hurdling through the galaxy. Yep, that’s right, Commander Hadfield sang the lyrics “I’m stepping through the door / And I’m floating in a most peculiar way / And the stars look very different today” while ACTUALLY looking at the stars aboard the International Space Station! The video is beautiful, capturing the astronaut mouthing Bowie’s famous lyrics and floating around his spacecraft sans gravity, all while Earth spins in the background. It’s one of the few times we can describe something as “out of this world” and actually mean it.
