Red-faced Bruce Springsteen bellowed an impassioned "Hello Ohio!" - at a show in Michigan.


Although he was Born in the USA, Springsteen made the geographical gaff a number of times as he played to adoring fans at the Auburn Hills Palace in Michigan.


It was only when E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt whispered in his ear that Springsteen realised he was constantly referring to the wrong state.


"That's every front man's nightmare," an embarrassed Springsteen told the crowd.


Luckily fans seemed happy to forgive him as he played a three-hour show including a complete performance of his classic album Born To Run.

Born In The USA rocker Bruce Springsteen will work extracts from diaries he kept into a book about his life, according to US reports.


Springsteen is said to have kept journals throughout his career. The 60-year-old oft-times political rock legend is expected to start a bidding war for the rights to his book, with estimates for publisher bids put at $10million.


"It could be the biggest rock music autobiography of all time," said an insider at a major publisher. "He could get $9 million to $10 million for the world rights."

Bruce Springsteen performs gig in New York after cousin's death

Singer Bruce Springsteen has put on a brave face following the death of his cousin and performed a gig in New York.


Former Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello said Springsteen is "doing fine" as he joined him and the E Street Band for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.


Morello said: "I expressed my condolences. I know that he cancelled a show the other night, but tonight's show is very much a celebration of music and life."


Springsteen's cousin Lenny Sullivan had been an assistant road manager for Springsteen's band for the last 10 years and was recently found dead at the Kansas City hotel.

Bruce Springsteen cancels show after cousin's death on tour

Bruce Springsteen cancelled a US tour date after his cousin was found dead in a hotel room.


The Boss postponed the Monday night show in Kansas City following the death of Lenny Sullivan, according to US reports.


Sullivan had worked for Springsteen for 10 years as an assistant tour manager.


Emergency services were called to the hotel where the band was staying at 4.15pm on Monday.


Sullivan's death is under investigation.


Springsteen posted a message on his website that the show was cancelled because of a "death in the family".

The house where rock superstar Bruce Springsteen wrote his iconic album, Born To Run, is up for sale.


The two-bedroom cottage near the beach in Long Branch, New Jersey, is on sale for $299,000, according to reports.


Springsteen lived at the property between 1974 and 1975, when he wrote his hit third album, which included the singles Born To Run and Thunder Road.


"It does have a lot of possibilities as a summer cottage," said New Jersey estate agent Susan McLaughlin.


"It's great for someone who wants a little beach place."

Bruce Springsteen reportedly cost the Glastonbury Festival organiser £3,000 by playing nine minutes over the festival's curfew.


Bruce, 58, played a set that lasted for two hours and 40 minutes, which ended just before 12:40am.


But Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis did not mind paying the fine as Bruce's set was so good.


He said: "I gave him 10 minutes and he took nine, I'll pay the fine. It's not a lot because it was fantastic.


"The last nine minutes were spectacular."

Bruce Springsteen has slammed reports he is to blame for fans paying higher prices for one of his gigs.


Fans found themselves unable to buy certain tickets from online retailer Ticketmaster in February for a New Jersey show.


Instead, they were directed to another seller - which was charging more for the tickets.


A recent newspaper article blamed the Born To Run singer for withholding the best tickets to his New Jersey shows from the public and selling them for an inflated rate.


The TicketsNow website agreed to pay out US$350,000 to the state of New Jersey and held a random ticket draw for 1,000 fans who filed complaints, after Springsteen dubbed the inciden .....

Bruce Springsteen had reportedly never heard of Glastonbury when he was approached to play at the British festival.


Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis revealed they put together a document to persuade the star to perform.


She said: "It's been our mission for quite a long time to get Bruce. I thought it was quite unlikely, especially when the agent said: 'Glaston-what?'"


She added: "We put together a document for him and spoke to his people a lot and they were really up for it.


"He's never done a festival before, so we didn't expect him to know much about it."


Eavis also revealed there will be a 'huge band' playing at the festival that is still unan .....

Rumours of Bruce Springsteen having an affair with a woman whose divorce he is now entangled in first emerged four years ago, according to US reports.


The Born to Run star was named in divorce papers as being the other man in an affair. Both he and the woman involved deny the allegations.


A close friend said the talk started in 2005 after Ann Kelly and Springsteen appeared to get very friendly at the Atlantic Club gym in Red Bank, New Jersey.


"People saw it for years and years, but they are a nice family, and you never want to believe it," insisted a source close to Ann and her husband, Arthur. "You think it's all rumours."

The man who accused Bruce Springsteen of having an affair with his wife was recently charged with assaulting her, according to reports.


Arthur Kelly, 45, last month filed for divorce from wife Ann, who strenuously denied she had an affair with the musician, and named Springsteen in the papers.


Springsteen, who is married to Patti Scialfa, said the infidelity reports were “unfounded”.


It has now emerged Arthur was arrested and charged with "simple assault" following an incident at the family home in New Jersey on March 3, according to Radar Online.
