Cassie Lyrics

Flyleaf

The question asked in order To save her life or take it The answer 'No' to avoid death The answer 'Yes' would make it, make it
'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet Say, "Yes" to pull the trigger 'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet And Cassie pull the trigger
All heads are bowed in silence To remember her last sentence, she answered him Knowing what would happen Her last words still hanging in the air, in the air
'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet Say, "Yes" to pull the trigger 'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet And Cassie pull the trigger
How many will die? I will die, I, I, I will say, “Yes”
'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet Say, "Yes" to pull the trigger 'Do you believe in God?' written on the bullet And Cassie pull the trigger
Do you believe in God? Do you believe in God? Do you believe in God? And I will pull the trigger

Tell Us What These Lyrics Mean To You...

It's a song, and a good one and I agree with carcrashheart its based on the book.

@Stardust Angel- you stated in your comment that " neither of the boys were that cruel." They killed innocent children. Children that had familys. Mothers, fathers, siblings, friends. They TOOK THE LIVES OF HUMAN BEINGS. In essence. That IS exactly what CRUEL is... I almost got a hint of your argument, when you started to say that the God comments never happened but when you stated that they weren't "cruel" and that you "almost feel bad for them" I got sick to my stomach.

In my opinion that never should have happened, but just because flyleaf changed the song a lil doesn't mean its not a good song. stardust angel maybe you should listen to something else if you cant relate. Flyleaf rocks and so does this song at least she is willing to die for god so listen and shut the h*** up!!

I don't mean to be a hater, but I can't really get into this song. Every time I listen to it, I get misleading images of Klebold with his TEC-DC9 aimed at Bernall... and I want to cry. This isn't what really happened at Columbine that day; it was a common rumour that the question 'Do you believe in God?' was asked to Bernall before she was shot in the head, but it wasn't. Craig Scott, Rachel's brother, who had been in the library at the time and claimed it was said to Bernall was unable to identify where she had been at the time. A girl who had been able to see Bernall claimed no words were exchanged between Klebold and Bernall that day. This is proof it never happened, so Bernall was not the big hero this song portrays her as. I don't believe what the shooters did was right, but I do believe they deserve honest defence, even after death. And also, the whole idea that Harris and Klebold lined up the students and asked them if they believed in God, shooting them if they said yes, never happened. It makes me mad that people believe that; neither of the boys were that cruel. This song makes me feel bad for Klebold since it aims all hatred towards him, when this is actually FAKE. Thank you. xxxx Wolf

The question was asked, but to a different student. The people in the library overheard and mistook that for Klebold and Bernall. The reason the "rumor" exists is because that is how the story was told in the book Cassie's mother wrote, "She Said Yes." The song could be written based on the book, especially since it wasn't discovered that nothing was said to Bernall until later.

Okay this is rediculous! Yes, they did mention Rachel in this song, BUT NOT THE FINAL RECORDING!!!! THE EP ALBUM HAS THE ONE WITH RACHEL IN IT!!!!! The EP album is the one unfinished and not final. You will also see that in the EP there is no background and Lacy shouts 'I will say YES' in the beginning. THERE ARE 2 VERISONS OF THE SONG! THE LYRICS TO THIS ARE OF THE FINAL!!! NOW SHUT UP ABOUT THE LYRICS AND ENJOY THE SONG!
