"Their first big hit was the controversial "Chop Suey!", released in the late summer of 2001. The title comes from a poem of Father Armeni, who wrote about Armenia after the genocide of 1915. He asked God why have you forsaken me in your eyes. Father Armeni also said that in Armenia a self righteous suicide has taken place."

I completely agree. You do not have to know anything about a song, but you can still like it. It's called negative capability. It means you dont have to completely understand something, to enjoy it. THat show it is with this song. So just relax and enjoy the song, be negativly capable.

its just saying that its sad when people who are believed to be so good really arent that good at all... why does everything have to be about either religion or racism? i mean really you cant say one thing without some christian coming down on you or someone criticizing you for being racist... i mean really. if you dont like the song then dont listen to it, if u **** love it, then lesten and if you have extra time on your hands, debate the deep judeo christian meaning, but do it on your own time and within the confindments of ur own head

every one can have their own opinion if you don't like it, don't listen to it and don't comment that it ****s or anything like that it makes some people mad.Every song has a different meaning to a different person. One song can be an awesome song to one person here while it means more to someone over there because it was dedicated to someone and tells a memory . and then that same song can be one that tells the story of someones life long feelings over there .
