Chris Brown dropped from Timbaland's new album

Chris Brown has been dropped from Timbaland's new album because the producer was unhappy with the "drama" surrounding the R&B singer, according to reports.

An aide to Brown said that the singer's vocals were removed from the song The One I Love because Timbaland was wary of being associated with the Forever star.

However, Timbaland's manager, Marcus Spence, revealed that it was true Brown was dropped from the song, but the move was a "creative decision for both parties."

"There's nothing against Chris. We love Chris," Spence added.

Chris Brown has appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom for his first progress report since being sentenced for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year.

He was spotted laughing with his lawyer before the hearing, which lasted under 10 minutes.

Brown received an "extremely favourable" report from probation officials after completing seven of his 52 domestic violence classes and completing all of his community service hours.

The 20-year-old singer is serving five years of probation and must attend domestic violence counselling, as well as perform six months of community labour in his hometown of Virginia.

Chris Brown, the repentant former lover of Rihanna doing probation for her assault, is not ready to take up dating.

Shortly after his ex-girlfriend took to the airwaves to tell her story of domestic violence at his hands, Brown said: "I've been kinda chillin' I mean, I'm Chris Brown. I'm not saying it like that, but it's just, like, girls are gonna be around. I love women. But I would say I've just been chillin'. I haven't really been trying to get into a relationship or trying to date anybody. I've just kinda been working on me. Like I said, just really getting me straight."

Disgraced singer Chris Brown says people who call him a "woman beater" are "ignorant".

The 20-year-old told MTV that his attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna was an "uncharacteristic" spurt of violence which was triggered by "anger".

After Rihanna, 21, gave an interview to ABC, Brown issued the following statement: "I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God."

Shamed singer Chris Brown has opened up about the night he attacked girlfriend Rihanna and admitted: "What was I thinking?"

Brown - speaking the same day Rihanna's first TV interview about the attack aired in the U.S. - suggested he felt disconnected about the attack.

And he also appeared to shrug it off as if it is merely explained by being a 20-year-old.

Asked what sparked the assault, Brown replied: "Just anger - yeah, anger."

And he then insisted: "Young people, we do before we think."

Chris Brown continued his PR offensive as he twittered a link to a YouTube video compilation of him with Rihanna.

The singer is touring intimate US clubs as he tries to reform his public image following his conviction for beating his then girlfriend.

Just days after it emerged he was to perform at a charity event, he took to Twitter to show his emotional side.

He first sent out a link to a two-minute, 45-second-long video montage of footage of him in happier times with Rihanna.

It ends with a picture of him kissing her neck, apparently in bed, which mysteriously leaked to the media earlier this year as he faced his criminal troubles.

Chris Brown says Hollywood megastar Will Smith was one of the first people to reach out to him when his life began to unravel.

Brown, who is serving probation and community service for assaulting singer Rihanna, told a New York radio station: "As a young black man myself, I need older black male role models to step in and kind of mould me, not people bashing me, 'cause that's not how you learn from mistakes."

Brown said Smith offered him advice after he assaulted Rihanna, his former girlfriend. When he was asked how people should feel about him, he said: "Honestly, with me, it's not a thing about how you should feel. Just be human. Because at the end of the day, I'm human. .....

Singer Chris Brown is to take a break from his community labour service order next month to headline a concert in New Jersey, USA.

Chris, 20, was sentenced to a 180-day community labour stint as part of his sentence for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in February.

It is claimed Chris will be headlining Power 105.1's Powerhouse concert at the Izod Center in New Jersey, on October 27.

At the gig he will perform alongside stars such as Fabolous, The-Dream, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, Mario, Ginuwine and Day26.

This will be the first major promotional event that the star has done to hype up the release of his album Graffiti, which is yet to receive a release d .....

Chris Brown, 20, started his manual labour-oriented community service in Virginia with a proverbial pile of horse dung.

Brown was sentenced to parole, 180 days of community service, domestic violence counselling and fined after being convicted of the assault of his former lover Rihanna.

A California judge in setting down the sentence wanted Brown to get his hands dirty in his home state.

He was seen in a yellow striped vest cleaning a horse stable that belonged to police midweek. He also tweeted to his new Twitter account, "on my way to community service".

Brown was also given a restraining order to stay a specified distance from Rihanna. He has this week .....

Singer Chris Brown has asked his ex-girlfriend Rihanna for another chance.

The With You singer, who has recently pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna, 21, after an altercation with the star, has been sentenced to five years' probation and six months of community service.

Despite this, Chris has reached out to the Umbrella singer and asked her to give him another chance.

Brown has reportedly written on his Twitter: "MY HEART IS INCOMPLETE... the part that is complete is my love for fans, career, friends, family... God. But I'm missing someone or something."
