Coldplay's Jonny Buckland gets married

Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland has tied the knot in an exclusive ceremony in London.


The musician married jewellery designer Chloe Lee-Evans in a ceremony on November 14 at London's exclusive One Marylbone Road.


USmagazine.com confirmed the wedding took place and Buckland's fellow Coldplay stars Chris Martin, Will Champion and Guy Berryman all attended.


It is claimed X Factor star Daniel Pearce performed at the reception and played covers of tracks with his band.


Buckland, 32, has been dating Lee-Evans for several years and they have a two-year-old daughter Violet.

Coldplay are reportedly moving studio after spending tens of thousands of pounds on their existing studio space.


The British band are setting up the new studio just over two years since they spent the money on the first studio.


Frontman Chris Martin, 32, and the other band members wrote Viva La Vida in the former north London bakery they bought for the project, however they are now abandoning the studio to work in a new environment.


A source said to British newspaper The Sun: "The lads really enjoyed working in the bakery. But for their next album, they want a clean slate.


"It doesn't make financial sense, but they'd rather pay to find the perfect environme .....

British band Coldplay have reportedly donated £1million to a children's charity.


The band is fronted by lead singer Chris Martin, 32, who is married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow.


The guys are actively involved with the charity Kids Company, which helps those children who are underprivileged and lack support from adults. The band have visited the charity's many centres and are planning to give music lessons.


The charity's founder Camila Batmanghelidjh said: "They were moved by the tough stories they heard, and want to be genuine participants."


Talking about the band's donation, she said: "I got the feeling it was something they had planned from the start .....

Coldplay star Chris Martin has revealed why he is often spotted wearing plasters on his face.


Chris, 32, is the lead singer of the band, which is playing in Wembley, London, soon and will be supported by Girls Aloud and Jay-Z.


Asked why he wears the band-aids, he said: "There's a moment where Will plays a big drum in a song called Viva La Vida, and then in the next song, Guy plays it... the same drum.


"And then he leaves me the sticks so I can play it. And I hit it so it flips in the air and goes into the crowd.


"But some nights I get it wrong and it comes back in my face so sometimes I have to wear a plaster on my face because of a cut."

Coldplay are up against Muse and Oasis as they try to defend their Q Award for the best act in the world.


The winners will be revealed at a ceremony at Grosvenor House in London on October 26.


British band the Arctic Monkeys have been nominated in four categories and Kasabian and Florence And The Machine have receive three nominations.


The White Stripes star Jack White has also been nominated in the category of best new act for his other band The Dead Weather.


U2 also received two nominations for best live act as well as best album for No Line On The Horizon.

Coldplay reportedly settle with Joe Satriani over plagiarism

British band Coldplay have reportedly come to an agreement with Joe Satriani over plagiarism.


Satriani sued the band, fronted by Chris Martin, last year after he said that their track Viva La Vida features "substantial, original portions" of his track If I Could Fly from 2004.


Billboard is now saying that Satriani has dropped the case and the band would not have to take any further action.


At the time, Satriani said: "I felt like a dagger went right through my heart. It hurt so much. The second I heard it, I knew it was [my own] If I Could Fly."


Documents are claiming that the case has now come to an end.


Satriani's representative failed to comment .....

British band Coldplay have cancelled one of their gigs in America - citing 'medical reasons'.


The group, led by Chris Martin, have not elaborated on what the medical problem is.


But they have pulled out of the concert at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida, on August 9.


However, on Coldplay's official website, they have revealed the gig will be rescheduled for fans who have tickets.


The official statement reads: "We're sorry to report that Coldplay have been forced to postpone their show at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa on Sunday, August 9th.


"This is due to medical reasons.

Coldplay is facing a chill wind in the midst of the world recession.


Tickets for the last leg of its US tour are going for a song after Chris Martin and the band have failed to sell out - or anywhere near that. Some tickets are going for 60p.


Coldplay is winding up 39 dates of shows in the US that kicked off in May. The tickets have a face value of between £20 and £60 but punters are spruiking them at the less-than-a-pound rate, according to StubHub, the ticketing arm of e-Bay.


StubHub also reports Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and U2 are facing the same problem.

Coldplay are to become the latest band to make a guest appearance in TV cartoon The Simpsons.


The British band will reportedly be hired by Homer to play a private concert for him and Bart after he wins the lottery.


"When Bart goes to the bathroom, Coldplay has to stop," executive producer Al Jean revealed.


Other musical acts who have appeared on the hit animated show include U2, Sting, Sir Paul McCartney and Johnny Cash.


Other celebrities to record cameos for the 21st season of the show include Knocked Up star Seth Rogen and Scream actress, Neve Campbell.


The new series of The Simpsons debuts in the US on September 27.

Coldplay are to be the stars of a new TV documentary after they were followed with cameras for six months.


The British band will be featured in a special episode of acclaimed arts programme the South Bank Show. It will be shown on ITV1 in the UK on September 20 at 10:15pm and it will be called The Coldplay show.


The programme will give viewers an insight into the life of the band.
