The �90s was known for unique music groups, one of which was the Dave Matthews Band, known for its combination of jazz, pop, folk, and world music. Reflective lyrics and one-of-a-kind resonance brought the band to stardom in the rock arena. Matthews, before he concentrated on his music, was first drafted as a soldier of South Africa at age eighteen, which resulted to his family opting to reside in the United States for good, specifically in Virginia.
