Find me here, speak to me
I want to feel You, I need to hear You
You are the light that's leading me
To the place where I find peace again
You are the strength that keeps me walking
You are the hope that keeps me trusting
You are the light to my soul
You are my purpose, You're everything
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
You calm the storms, and You give me rest
You hold me in Your hands, You won't let me fall
You steal my heart, and You take my breath away
Would You take me in, take me deeper now
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
'Cause You're all I want, You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want, You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want, You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want, You're all I need
You're everything, everything
And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?

this song could go either way it all depends on who's interpreting it and what they believe it feels toward them. they could be metaphors to one person but no to another. But if Lifehouse wrote this song about and initially FOR God then thats how it is and there's no changing it. this is a beautiful song no matter who it was written for clearly written by a genus in song writing

life house is so goood in composing love songs

this song is all about how you interpret it. somethimes when i hear it i think of god and what he has done for me. and other times i think of two people who just have an incredibly strong relationship. And to kleaners i think this would make a perfect wedding song.

You can't interpret it when the authors (Lifehouse) confirmed that this is about God. They are Christians (although not a Christian band)...and wrote this in dedication to him. do some research on google and you'll see for yourself.

This song absolutely makes me weep. I'm not ashamed to say that this song for me is about god. The main reason why people look at it as a christian song is because of the drama connected with it. Also, just looking at the lyrics makes me think they were talking about god. Gods presence when I hear this song is so powerful that all I can do is weep, not because I'm sad but because I'm so glad what I've been brought out of.

This song is possibly the most moving I have ever heard...touches the soul!

I absoulately love this song. Lifehouse is so amazing!!!

this is totally about God. totally. I guess I could see how it could also be about the bond between two people, but the words almost seem too strong for that. (maybe I've just never truly been in love) BUT you all should search "Lifehouse Everything Skit" in youtube, and watch it. It's about a person who begins their walk with God and then is distracted by satan. Although God is trying to pull her back the whole time....but just watch it. I cry EVERY TIME. =)

You're right. Lifehouse said it was about God. by the way: "You are my purpose, you're everything" - that directed to another person is NOT love..it's pathological obsessions. "You are the light to my soul" - hmm...how does that fit in with humanly love? "You hold me in your hands" - notice it's "hands" and not "arms"...God holds people in his hands. but this is just talk... I don't need to point them out..look for yourself (google) and you'll see it is about God.

To whoever said this song has nothing to do with God, is completely wrong. It is a love song, but not meant for any earthly being. It is meant for the heavenly being, Jesus Christ. "You calm the storms, and give me rest. You hold me in your hands, You won't let me fall" I don't know any human being who could possibly do that.

So i'm guessing you did not learn about metaphors in school? Why couldn't a mortal being calm the internal storms that you feel, and give your heart rest from the fears that are brewing up inside of you? Your love could easily prevent you from falling into a lesser person. Please try not to completely ignore opinions. The beauty of songs is that they are open to interpertation, so that you are able to mold them into your beliefs.
