It IS "jet ahead." There are tons of uses of flight imagery in the lyrics. "We are your captains in it." "Watch the way I navigate." "New horizon." "Gravitate." Noodle's flying windmill island in the video. All these things refer to flight and flight is a metaphor for freedom. 2D is wrestling with escaping from Feel Good Inc. which is a symbolic title for any big organization that demands compliance and punishes free thinking. The mass media, pop culture, Mtv. Who ever is on top. De La Soul is the voice OF Feel Good Inc. telling 2D to get back in line. "With your sound, you'll kill the Inc." The video shows 2D and Murdoc trapped in the Feel Good Inc. orgy. 2D tries to wake up the thoughtless drones with his megaphone and then stares out the window to see Noodle who's floating by on her windmill island of freedom. In the end though, 2D gives up and sits back down. Feel Good Inc.'s choppers go after the windmill island to protect against the thought of a new idea.
