Good Charlotte's Joel Madden told to cover up on plane

Good Charlotte's Joel Madden has revealed he was forced to cover up his tattoos before being allowed to board a plane.

The musician was all set to board a British Airways flight from London to Lisbon when he was stopped by BA staff.

He was told to put a long-sleeved shirt on to cover up both of his arms so other passengers couldn't see his tattoos.

Madden said he considered 'fighting the power' but eventually covered up because other passengers were 'looking and laughing' at him.

He wrote on his Twitter page: "was just told by a british air person I can't get on the plane till I cover my tatts. Should I fight the power?

Joel Madden has written a song for his baby daughter Harlow, which will appear on his new album Cardiology.

The 30-year-old Good Charlotte rocker was talking on Ryan Seacrest's breakfast radio show on KIIS FM.

Madden, who is having a second baby with Harlow's mum and his girlfriend Nicole Richie, said: “I wrote a song for Harlow and I have to say ‘hi' to her on the air ‘cos I'm sure she's listening right now.”

With his twin brother Benji and thousands of listeners tuning in, Joel said: “Hi Harlow. I love you.”
