i love this album, i totally love rihanna also. She rocks and she's always on my cd that I'm listening to. I like " question existing" that song is a deep romantic kinda song. i luv it.

Bob Johnson you need to actually understand the song because it IS about love and life. She's saying that YOU, as in a boy, can stand under her umbrella, like when it's rainy in life she'll be there to keep you dry. And it's about friends because, "Said I'll always be your friend, took an oath I'm stickin out till the end." You need to interpret songs like I do and Umbrella is NOT gay! I have her album and no wonder you're hatin because it is THE BOMB!!!

dis is the BEST album of the century (in my opinion) and Rihanna is THE BEST artist i've ever known And, HappyDays, i hear umbrella all the time and i cant understand why some people keep criticizing umbrella. umbrella is an amazing song and the lyrics are very...very...very... beautiful Rihanna, keep the good work (but dont push yourself too hard cause we dont want to see you too tired)!!!!!!

People keep criticizing Rihanna for "Umbrella", but if you do your research you will find that "The Dream" wrote it. He also wrote J. Holiday's song "Bed", another major hit. Mad props to him I have to say! (In my opinion), he writes amazing songs for other people as well as himself! But, personally, I do believe Rihanna did a wonderful job & has an amazing & unique voice!
