Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere has said she 'never pretends to be perfect'.


The 20-year-old beauty plays cheerleader Claire Bennett in the hit supernatural show Heroes and said that she has flaws just like anybody else.


She said to Hollyscoop: "Look, I never pretend to be perfect. I will never in a million years say I'm perfect and don't make mistakes or do silly things or what people would consider inappropriate, of course I do."


Panettiere added at the Whaleman Foundation event at Beso in Hollywood: "I am not perfect and I did not stand up on a podium saying: 'Vote for me! I want to be your role model!'

Heroes star Hayden Panettiere is moving behind the camera to make her debut as a producer on a new US TV drama.


The actress will be co-executive producer on medical school drama HMS, according to reports in the US.


The ensemble drama, by Mystic Pizza writer Amy Holden Jones, is based around students at the famous Harvard Medical School.


It will have a “younger Grey's Anatomy vibe”, US reports say.

Hayden is a big fan of Clooney's and was lost for words when she bumped into the actor.

Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere is joining forces with Isabel Lucas on an issue that is close to Lucas's heart - whale hunting.


Panettiere and Lucas have put a day of private dolphin and whale watching up for auction on e-Bay as part of the Give Good Green campaign.


The auction, which runs until September 4, will benefit the Whaleman Foundation, a non-profit organisation aiming to put an end to commercial whaling.


Paniettiere is a longtime whale supporter and was involved at past events including a Save The Whales - Again rally in Washington DC in 2008.
