Rapper Ice Cube is to star in a new vehicle - an action comedy called Ride Along.


The 39-year-old will play a rogue cop with a soft spot for his sister.


When she reveals she is going to marry a white psychiatrist, Cube tries to ruin the relationship by inviting the man to ride along with him on a job.


Born O'Shea Jackson, the former NWA-member, has been juggling an acting and music career since the early Nineties.


Film roles have included appearances in Boyz n the Hood, Barbershop and Three Kings, which co-starred George Clooney.
