Janet Jackson back on track with new single

Janet Jackson is back to her dancing best in the video for her new song Make Me.

Featuring a troupe of dancers, she struts her stuff with some signature dance moves in a futuristic setting, in scenes reminiscent of the Scream video she shot with brother Michael.

The single is from her upcoming greatest hits compilation album Number Ones, which is due to be released on Tuesday, and features guest performers Nelly, Q-Tip and Joni Mitchell.

To promote the album, Jackson will perform a medley of her hit singles at the 37th Annual American Music Awards on 22 November.

Janet Jackson has spoken about her brother Michael's death on US TV, blaming Dr Conrad Murray for his sudden passing. In an interview with ABC News, she said: "He [Murray] was the one that was administering. I think he's responsible." Jackson also said Murray should no longer be allowed to practise medicine. Murray provided what officials called a lethal dose of the surgical anaesthetic propofol and is under investigation for the king of pop's death. Janet Jackson has confirmed reports she's split with long-term lover Jermaine Dupri.

The 43-year-old singer admitted in a radio interview on the Bert Show that they are no longer together by referring to Dupri, 37, as her 'ex'.

She said: "I'm not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that. Jermaine is one of my best friends. I love him to death. We're still connected. We're still good friends. We still talk."

The pair dated for seven years, but they finished following the death of Jackson's brother Michael in June.

Janet Jackson yesterday blamed Dr Conrad Murray for her brother Michael's death - and demanded he be barred from practising medicine.

Toxicology results showed that the King of Pop had lethal amounts of propofol, a powerful sedative typically used in operating rooms, in his bloodstream when he died.

In her first interview about her superstar brother's death, Janet made it clear that she blames Jacko's private physician, Dr Conrad Murray, for his death.

"He [Murray] was the one that was administering... I think he is responsible."

Janet Jackson and Shakira will perform on the second day of Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball in London later this year.

A second day has been added for the London radio show's ball and Shakira, Janet Jackson, Ne-Yo and JLS will perform on December 6.

Earlier this month the radio station announced artists such as Lady GaGa and Lily Allen for the first night on December 5 and 20,000 tickets sold out in under an hour.

It is the first time in the history of the ball, which raises money for charity, that two nights are being held.

Janet Jackson graces the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine and reveals she has sworn off keeping up with the news since the death of her brother Michael in June.

"I haven't watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, 'How's Obama doing?' I haven't read a newspaper," Jackson said.

She also recently vowed to continue wearing black for a year after Michael's death. The Bazaar cover sees her summoning the 1950s with a cinched waist and looking outward as if grieving.

She told the magazine: "It will drive you crazy. People can have rhinoceros skin, but there's a point when something's going to hurt you."

Janet Jackson is back together with Jermaine Dupri despite having said recently that the seven-year relationship was over.

Jackson is said to be deeply mourning the death of her brother Michael and vowed to appear in black for a year. She isn't hiding away however, turning up for the Giorgio Armani fashion show in Milan, and giving a stunning tribute to her brother at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Jackson started seeing Dupri in 2002. He was not present for Jackson's memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Jackson told a US magazine that she had split with Dupri. She said, "I've had people ask me out. I haven't entertained any offers thus far."

Janet Jackson will wear black for a year to mourn the death three months ago of her brother Michael.

Jackson, elsewhere, was seen emerging from a period of seclusion immediately following the June 25 death when she showed up in the front row of a Giorgio Armani show in Milan. She donned black leather-look garments for a stunning tribute to her brother on the MTV Video Music Awards.

Janet Jackson stepped out in public after a period of mourning and seclusion, barring television appearances.

She attended Georgio Armani's fashion show in Milan and was seated front-row. Janet recently delivered a stunning musical tribute to her late brother at MTV's Video Music Awards.

Other celebs in attendance included Vogue editor and fashion queen Anna Wintour, Roger Federer and Chinese actress Ziyi Zhang.

Jackson, who has an album coming out next year, will also chair a charity event for Aids research in Milan.

Singer Janet Jackson loved performing as part of the Michael Jackson tribute at the recent Video Music Awards.

Janet, 43, who burst on stage to do a dance medley in honour of the King of Pop's iconic music videos, thought all the hard work rehearsing paid off and really enjoyed the performance.

Jackson said: "This is the most fun - from my mouth to God's ears - the most fun I have ever had working on a project for TV."
