Jay-Z: I'm not ready for babies

Jay-Z says he and Beyonce aren't ready for babies just yet.

The R&B couple have been married for over a year but Jay-Z has insisted there are no plans to expand their family any time soon.

According to Contact Music, Jay-Z said the couple were too focused on their careers at the moment.

In a statement from Jay-Z, he said: "We got to keep it moving. Got bills to pay. I definitely want one [a child] but I'm not ready for all that. I don't think a person should see that before their time. I fall in love with my nephew every time I see him.”

Rapper Jay-Z's rider has been revealed for a recent show and one request was a vintage car to drive.

The 39-year-old star performed a concert at the University of Arizona in April, where he reportedly made the demands, according to website The Smoking Gun.

He reportedly requested a 1957 or 1962 black Maybach with tinted windows to drive while he was in town, a dressing room kept at 72 degrees, six cans of energy drink Red Bull, a packet of Marlboro Lights cigarettes and "good quality" peanut butter and jelly.

The star, real name Shawn Corey Carter, is also said to have asked for a specific beer, Sapporo, vodka, tequila, two bottles of $300 Champagne and two bottles .....

Rap legend Jay-Z has defended Olympian Michael Phelps over his pot-smoking scandal.

The rapper, real name Sean Carter, insists Phelps' drug scandal, in which he was photographed smoking from a bong, is natural for a 23-year-old.

And he also says it highlights a disgraceful bias when such a story creates so many headlines while financial fraudsters often get away relatively lightly.

"You look at all these people who graduated from Princeton and Harvard, who are supposed to be pillars of the community - every day [they're] in the newspaper arrested for some kind of financial fraud," the Grammy winner said.

Rapper Jay-Z said he wants to work with singer Amy Winehouse on her third album.

The star helped Amy, 25, crack the US when he did a remix version of her track Rehab and now revealed he wants to work with the star again.

It was also recently claimed that producer Mark Ronson will be teaming up with the star on her third album, after working with her on her hit cover version of Valerie.

He said, according to British newspaper The Sun: "Amy has a really powerful voice, it is so distinctive and beautiful. Hopefully in the future we could get together and work on some new material - I'd love to work with her again."

According to numerous reports, Def Jam's executive vice president, Shakir Stewart, died of an apparent suicide on Saturday, November 1.
