Daredevil Jesse James takes on the world's fastest superbike

Daredevil Jesse James got his new TV series off to a flying start by taking on the world's fastest and most dangerous superbike.

The stuntman husband of actress Sandra Bullock had just one week to learn how to handle the 200mph Nitro Bike in the opening episode of Jesse James Is A Dead Man.

He started his intensive prepartions for the rocket-fuelled 1,000-horsepower beast by going up in a F16 Jet Fighter to train to handle massive G-forces.

Then he was set on fire in a protective suit to prepare his body in case the rocket fuel bike went up in flames.

Jesse's first two attempts to reach the quarter-mile finish line ended in potentially fatal failure.

Fame's not the game for Sandra Bullock's hubby Jesse James

Biker Jesse James says that being married to Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock doesn't make him a celebrity.

He might have a reality TV show, but the 40-year-old father-of-three insists he still has to work hard for a living.

"I work in Long Beach [California] at my shop every day," he said.

"Everybody thinks because my wife is a celebrity that automatically makes me super-fancy, but that's not the case."

James even refuses to walk down the red carpet with Bullock, who recently starred in the box-office hit The Proposal.

TV star Jesse James became a real-life outlaw as he took a city's police department on a high-speed chase.

James, the husband of Sandra Bullock, became a wanted man as he lead officers from California's Orange County Police Department in a pursuit.

The chase, which included six patrol cars and a police helicopter, took part on a closed course in a remote area of California. It was all shot for James' new TV show Jesse James is a Dead Man.

But James, driving a Chevy Camero car fitted with nitrus oxide, flipped the rules by heading off road and onto a golf course - forcing the police to temporarily call off the chase.

Daredevil Jesse James says his actress wife Sandra Bullock tells him to “break a leg” every time he tackles a new stunt.

James, who takes on death-defying challenges each week in his new TV show Jesse James is a Dead Man, told how he has Bullock's full support to risk life and limb.

He said: “She totally encourages me and tells me every day before I go to work, ‘Break a leg!'

“As long as I come home safe, she's cool. If I go to the hospital, she's not so cool.”

James is set on fire and takes to the skies Top Gun-style in a fighter jet in his new show, which starts in the US on Sunday.
