The Jonas Brothers are set to return for another series of their show Jonas as the Disney Channel order a second season.

The three brothers, Nick, Joe and Kevin, were reportedly called by Disney Channels Worldwide entertainment president Gary Marsh to give them the news.

The boys are currently in Italy as part of the European leg of their world concert tour.

It is claimed that production will begin on Season 2 of the series in February, and it will premiere in the middle of next year.

Marsh said: "These guys are the superstars of their generation. We had the opportunity to extend our relationship with them, which we did."

Jonas Brothers' star Nick Jonas is working on a solo act and is currently shooting his own album cover, his mum has revealed.

Denise Jonas, mum to the three lads from the hit US boy band, admitted that her 17-year-old son is working on a project away from the brothers.

Asked if she has any scoops on the boys, she said to Parade.com: "Nick is working on a solo act - it's called Nick Jonas and The Administration. Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover now.

"And Kevin and his fiancee, Danielle Deleasa, have set a wedding date - but it's completely private. Danielle, bless her heart, is from a great little Italian family.

The Jonas Brothers have revealed that they love getting manicures and are considering wearing nail varnish.

The three brothers - Nick, Joe and Kevin - admitted that the rumours are true that they like a good manicure.

Kevin, 21, said: "Our nails do get messed up on the guitar, so we occasionally have a manicure."

Joe, 20, added to Top of the Pops magazine: "We don't get nail polish or anything though! But we could rock that... I saw some guy rocking a gold nail varnish the other day and it looked pretty cool on him."

Younger brother Nick, 17, who is rumoured to be back with on/off girlfriend Miley Cyrus, said: "Pedicures? It might happen."

The Jonas Brothers got their security guard to rap in a song because they didn't know any other rappers.

Joe Jonas said: "We were trying to find a rapper for a song and unfortunately we don't know any rappers, we didn't... I guess we do now.

"And so big Rob was in his car and hanging out, listening to his house music and we walked over and said 'hey man we need a rapper for the song, can you come out and maybe try a rap'.

"And they tried it and they did a really good job so every night on tour big Rob comes out and raps and everyone goes crazy, it's awesome."

The Jonas Brothers have revealed they "hold no grudges" against comedian Russell Brand after he made fun of their promise rings.

The 33-year-old comic mocked the boys' abstinence rings at the VMAs in 2008. The boys - Kevin, 20, Joe, 18, and Nick, 16, wear the rings to show their commitment to wait until they are married before they have sex.

Kevin said: "Most of the evening we were getting ready for our performance, so we missed a lot of what he [Russell] said. Did we meet him afterwards? No, but we wouldn't have objected to it."

The Jonas Brothers reportedly spent £15,000 on a three-day stay in the UK while promoting their new film.

Brothers Kevin, 21, Joe, 19, and Nick, 16 are said to have splashed out on seven junior suites at the five-star Soho Hotel in London.

They reportedly booked one each for themselves, a room for their parents and three for their entourage. Two more rooms were booked and made into an office and an interview room.

An insider told British newspaper the Daily Star: "The lads are brilliant guests. They're extremely polite and very generous, giving huge tips to staff."

Nick Jonas, 16, of hit sensation band the Jonas Brothers will talk about living with diabetes in Washington this month.

Jonas has Type I diabetes which involves taking insulin. The talk will take place at the National Press Club, at a luncheon, on August 24.

"Since being diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age 13, the pop superstar, who tests his blood sugar more than 10 times a day, has made a personal commitment to raise awareness about juvenile diabetes," the club said in a statement.

Jonas Brothers Kevin and Joe have found a way to make their soundchecks more saucy and spicy - by dressing up as bottles of ketchup and mustard.

The fancy dress fans posted a photo of their new condiment costumes on their Twitter page.

They are just the latest outfits the pair of pranksters have tried for size on their world tour.

Earlier this week they soundchecked dressed as the Three Little Pigs with a member of their backing band.

Youngest brother Nick does not seem to be quite so into dressing up though and did not join in with either of the fancy dress stunts.

The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are working on a follow up to their smash hit TV movie Camp Rock.

Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam, a Disney Channel Original Movie, is set to premiere in 2010.

The sequel movie will feature Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Demi Lovato, as well as newcomers Matthew 'Mdot' Finley and Chloe Bridges.

In a recent interview the brothers reflected on how far they had come from early days selling tee-shirts at a gas stand.

Jonas Brother's star Nick Jonas tells Larry King he's happy to be 'reconnected' with Miley Cyrus.

The band sat down with the veteran CNN host ahead of a concert in at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Texas.

Miley and Nick, both 16, broke up in December 2007, but have reportedly been getting close since Cyrus broke up with Justin Gaston, 20, earlier this month.

Nick didn't confirm any romance between the pair, but said he was happy to have his friend back.
