Katy Perry brought home her new boyfriend, the lothario Russell Brand, to meet the folks.


Perry had been reported eagerly looking forward to the family once-over ever since she brought home her London beau. The lovebirds have rarely been separated and were seen shopping around for digs in Los Angeles.


Perry's parents however, hail from the Christian belt of America where the wild and woolly Brand is expected to be a fish out of water.

Singer Katy Perry's warm-up techniques have been revealed - a large portion of greasy chips.


The 25-year-old singer, who is dating comic Russell Brand, uses them to warm up her vocals before singing.


Her unusual pre-performance snack was revealed by the US duo 3OH!3 who teamed up with Katy for the track Starstrukk, which is out on December 14.


Singer Nathaniel Motte, 25, said: "The only thing that Katy asked for in return for featuring on our single was a massive portion of greasy chips.


"Apparently the grease is her secret trick for opening up the airwaves and making her voice sound great."

Singer Katy Perry's choice to wear West Ham lingerie has sparked calls from fans to make more footie kits for women.


The 25-year-old wore the outfit with the UK footie team's colours and logo on to present the MTV awards as well as hotpants with boyfriend Russell Brand's nickname Rusty on.


West Ham is the football team of choice of her boyfriend Russell, 34, and fans have now asked that their girls also wear their team's colours in support.


The underwear was created for the Hot and Cold singer by freelance designer Siobhan Dillon, 25.

Singer Katy Perry has said her new album will be inspired by fellow pop star Beyonce.


The 25-year-old Hot and Cold singer admitted that she is planning to make her second album different to her debut offering, One Of The Boys.


Katy said to UK newspaper News Of The World: "Beyonce is such a force. I saw her in rehearsals and nearly p***ed myself.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand rushed out to eat in darkness at Dans Le Noir, a select London noshery.


Perry was booked to do a radio interview with Chris Moyles. But the host was surprised to receive a call from Brand just hours before the booked appearance saying Perry would not be able to appear and that the pair wanted to spend time together.

The UK funnyman - who has been dating the I Kissed A Girl singer since September - admitted that he is finally happy.
