Margaret LeAnne Rimes was born on August 28th 1982 in Pearl Mississippi. LeAnne is best known for her rick vocals and their similarity to country singer Pasty Cline. LeAnne became famous at the age of 13, and has been the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker. Rimes has been influenced by Barbara Streisand, Wynonna Judd and Reba McEntire but her main influence was of course Pasty Cline. Rimes is of french and Native American decent. Her family raised her in Garland Texas. By the age of two she was began to train in dance and vocals and by 5 she was performing in talent shows.
