	Maybe, well, on second thought, surely, the worst track on the whole WHITE FEATHERS album, the only dull point of a long playing work, which is otherwise perfect, in my opinion, obviously, and rather pleasant, apparently, in most people's opinion. The chorus, consisting of two lines, repeated until boredom catches you violently and kills you mercilessly, is only seemingly catchy, but it actually turns out to be rather tiring and quite empty, ultimately. The lyrics are maybe the only thing I would save on this track, but pay attention: I just said "would"... There are far better episodes on the album. Sorry guys, I know that each and every brilliant LP work has to have its black spot, but this is sooo black that I simply refuse to accept it! Anyway, in the new remastered edition on CD, featuring 8 bonus tracks, including all of the B-sides to the singles (all of them simply wonderful - some should have even made it onto the album instead of some of the album tracks themselves), LIES AND PROMISES simply disappears, swallowed in-between TOO SHY and MAGICIAN MAN, respectively, their international Number 1 hit and a should-have-been-a-smash-hit-too major track (or at least I do think so), when one gets to the bonus part of the disc, this song is long forgotten... fortunately! A curiosity: someone used to mishear the chorus lyrics, actually going "Your promises, your promises, are your lies as good as your promises?", singing instead "Your promises, your promises, are your lies as good as your brother says?". Funny enough! Always love you KAJAGOOGOO guys, all FIVE of you! I'm looking forward to seeing you play live soon somewhere near my hometown. Bye bye for now.
