Lil Wayne parties before jail

Rapper Lil Wayne has been seen partying before he heads to jail.

The hip-hop star - who last week pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a .40-calibre semi-automatic gun - was spotted surrounded by women with his fellow rapper Nelly at the Miami club Liv.

A source said: "They were with a big group of women and stayed until 4am."

Police found the gun in a Louis Vuitton bag on his tour bus outside a New York concert venue in 2007.

Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., is expected to be handed a year in jail when he is sentenced in February.

Rapper Lil Wayne is heading for jail after pleading guilty to attempted weapons possession.

The Lollipop star expected to go through a pre-trial court hearing in New York over a series of charges after a semi-automatic loaded gun was discovered in his tour bus two years ago.

But he took everyone by surprise by pleading guilty as part of a deal that is expected to see him jailed for a year. Had been found guilty at trial, he faced up to seven years in jail.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon called it "a greatly reduced sentence."

Rapper Lil Wayne is to be a dad for the fourth time as his wife Nivea is pregnant.

The 27-year-old rapper confirmed reports that his wife Nivea, 27, is expecting their first child together.

The new baby will be the third son in a year for the Lollipop rapper as his first son Dwayne Carter III was born in October last year, and last month, actress Lauren London have birth to his second son Lennox Samuel Ari.

The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr, also has a nine-year-old daughter Reginae with ex-wife Antonia Carter, from whom he divorced in 2006.

Rapper Lil Wayne is set to go to trial for the possession of drugs and a gun.

The 27-year-old will attend court soon over charges of weapon and drugs possession.

Class A drugs such as cocaine and Ecstasy along with a handgun were found on his tour bus a few months ago.

The trial date has now been set as Wayne pleaded not guilty at a recent hearing, held at Yuma court.

Chief criminal Yuma County Attorney Roger Nelson said his office "doesn't offer misdemeanour plea deals on such cases and that's probably one of the reasons why the case hasn't been resolved".

Lil Wayne has also recently said he likes smoking marijuana recreationally.

Lil Wayne, yet again, has more baby mama drama. Two women are said to give birth to his children this year. The rapper also has a daughter and son from two other women. The guy really knows how to reproduce! Both women are somewhat in the public eye. Nivea, a singer with such songs as �Complicated� , is well known to be Wayne�s main squeeze. Other baby mama, Lauren London is most recognized by her appearances in rap videos and recently in 90210. At this rate, I don�t think Lil Wayne can afford to be making any more babies. Good luck!
