Lindsay Lohan Biography

Lindsay Lohan, born in 1986, in the 2nd of July as Lindsay Dee Lohan, is a model, actress, and pop singer in the United States. Her very first career started during her childhood, as a model both in print and TV commercials e.g. ads for Calvin Klein, Toys �R� Us, etc. At the age of ten, Lohan starred in �Another World� and the year after, she debuted in a major motion picture (1998�s Parent Trap) where she played the role of identical twins.

In 2000, Lindsay was made part of the cast of �Life-Size� along with Tyra Banks. In the same year, she also was part of the first episode of the �Bette� TV series, and could have remained as part of the cast, if only the shooting did not have to be held in Los Angeles. (It was in New York at first, but had to be moved to LA).

Lohan�s rise to fame came from her lead role in Disney�s �Freaky Friday� in 2003, alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. �Freaky Friday� is considered as one of Lindsay�s most successful film, giving way to two more lead roles for the following films: �Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen� and �Mean Girls� which were both launched in 2004. Her role in �Mean Girls� gave her the title of the �new teen movie queen� and was the start of paparazzi constantly following her around.
In 2005, Lindsay worked for Disney in �Herbie: Fully Loaded�, which earned a total of $144,000,000 all over the world. It was during the shooting of the said film, however, when Lindsay displayed some unprofessional behavior and even cancelled on the film�s promotional tour in Europe, causing Disney to �de-emphasize� Lohan on the Herbie posters because of her behavior.
In 2007, Lindsay Lohan landed a role in �Georgia Rule� together with Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman, but was criticized by the production company for her consistent tardiness and absences plus the fact that her reasons where due to illnesses, heat exhaustion, etc., when the real reason was actually because of her late-night partying. Lindsay also had to be rehabilitated in the same year due to alcohol and substance abuse, causing her to let go and even be dropped from a number of projects/offers. In May 2007, she also faced her first DUI arrest, followed by another DUI arrest in July of the same year and was recommended to enter a rehabilitation center for the second time.

In 2008 during the month of May, Lohan guest starred in �Ugly Betty� as Kimmie Keegan, Betty�s former schoolmate. Lindsay Lohan�s latest project is �Labor Pains� which is about a lady who has to pretend that she is pregnant in order to escape from being fired from work. �Labor Pains� was originally to be shown in theaters in the spring, but latest news stated that it will just be shown as a TV movie this coming July, and will be made available in DVDs in August (2009).
