Ludacris Biography
Christopher Bridges, now more famous by the name of: “Ludacris”, was born in the year 1977, in Champaign, Illinois. Ludacris is well known for being the rapper who was responsible for “Southern Hospitality”. His most successful album was way back in 2000 entitled: “Back for the First Time”, which transformed him into both a radio and video star.
Ludacris started his career by becoming one of Atlanta’s radio DJs, using the air name: “Chris Lova Lova”. He had a self produced record called: “Incognegro” which paved the way to a signed deal with the label: Def Jam South Record. “Incognegro” was then revised into the very famous: “Back for the First Time”.
In 2001, Ludacris released “Word of Mouf” which also became a hit, taking him up to the level of famous young rappers in both MTV and the radio stations. In 2003, “Chicken and Beer” was launched. It was also during that time when Ludacris tried acting, appearing in the film: “2 Fast 2 Furious” with Paul Walker. 2004’s drama entitled: “Crash” also had Ludacris as one of the casts with Don Cheadle. In 2005, he was also part of the film: “Hustle and Flow” where he played the role of “Skinny Black”, with lead star Terrence Howard.
The following year, Ludacris decided to change his look completely in order to be considered as a more mature actor and artist. He also introduced a new album: “Release Therapy”, which has one of his popular singles: “Money Maker”. Ludacris also landed a part in 2008’s “RocknRolla”, a film by Guy Ritchie, with lead actor Jeremy Piven.

-He started to become known when he was placed into a controversy in 2002. It was when Bill O’Reilly complained on why Pepsi took Ludacris as one of their “models”, when in fact, Ludacris uses foul language. Pepsi then replaced Ludacriz with the Osbournes.
-Ludacris has worked in partnership with many other famous artists, especially the hip-hop personalities such as 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, and Mariah Carey. He also went on tour with Eminem as well as Busta Rhymes.
-"What's Your Fantasy?" the lead single of “Back for the First Time” was Ludacris’ first major hit and started the “Ludacris Fever”, or songs that usually made it to Billboard’s Hot 100: "Stand Up" and "Money Maker".
-"Move Bitch," "Pimpin' All Over the World," etc. made it to the Top Ten.
