Lynyrd Skynyrd Keyboardist Dies

Billy Powell, one of two surviving Lynyrd Skynyrd members from the band's pre-1977 lineup, died in his Florida home early Wednesday morning. The 56 year old called 911 at around 12:55 a.m. to report having trouble breathing, but CPR efforts were unable to resuscitate him from a suspected heart attack. Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd Team Up For Tour

Kid Rock has linked up with Lynyrd Skynyrd for a month-long co-headlining trek. Dubbed the "Rock and Rebels" tour, it'll first hit Oklahoma City on August 8 and wind down in Hartford, CT, on August 31.
