Michael Jackson's nephew gets seat on estate board

Taj, a nephew of Michael Jackson, has been secretly included on the board of the late pop king's executors.


Taj is the 36-year-old son of Jackson's most outspoken brother, Tito. The executors, John McLain and John Branca - who his parents, Katherine and Joe, by turns, have tried to oust - have asked Taj to sit on the estate's executor board.


The News Of The World in an exclusive reports the move was a trade-off to encourage Katherine to drop her legal objection to McLain and Branca. Music producer Taj's place is to provide the voice of Jackson's tragic children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II.

Conrad Murray 'waited over an hour to call 911'

Conrad Murray waited for over an hour to call 911 after discovering Michael Jackson had stopped breathing, a newly released court document shows.


Murray, who was hired by Jackson, administered the powerful sedative Propofol, which can induce anaesthesia, and was out on a bathroom break when Jackson went into arrest - 20 minutes after the Propofol was given.


Murray has claimed he gave the Propofol only after trying several other sedatives and resisting Jackson's pleas for the drug. An autopsy concluded a toxic mix of sedatives including Propofol killed Jackson in what has been declared a homicide investigation.

Michael Jackson's Moonwalk glove sells for $350,000 at auction

The sparkly white glove Michael Jackson wore for his first Moonwalk has sold for $350,000.


Jackson wore the famed glove at his 1983 Motown 25 performance and later gave it to singer Walter Orange of the Commodores.


The glove was bought by Hong Kong hotel executive Hoffman Ma, who says the glove will not go on public display at Ponte 16 in Macau.


The glove's pre-sale estimate had been between $40,000 and $60,000.


Other Jackson items selling at the auction in New York City included a fang tooth mold used in the Thriller video, which was bought for $16,000.

Michael Jackson's three children are doing well in the permanent care of their grandmother, Katherine, says family friend Kathy Hilton.


Hilton told People, that Paris, 11, Prince 12, and Blanket, 7, are "wonderful".


Hilton is the socialite mother of Paris and Nicky, of the famous Hilton hotels dynasty. She said of the Jackson children: "Their grandmother is incredible and they could not be in better hands. I believe they are being home-schooled, which I think is appropriate for this year."


Hilton, 50, has known the family since she was 13. She emphasised: "They're getting along and they have an incredible family. They really are, I promise you."

Smokescreen rises over Jacko inquiry

A smokescreen is going up around the Michael Jackson death investigation, with police requesting warrant documents be sealed until January 18.


Detective Orlando Martinez, of the Los Angeles Police Department, made the request by telephone before Clark County District Court judge Valerie Adair closed off the hearing to the public.


Media had requested the warrant documents used in a search of Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas before Adair ruled they would be sealed.


The centre of the probe, Dr Conrad Murray, is alleged to have obtained propofol, the sedative that killed Jackson, from Applied Pharmacy.

Janet Jackson has recalled the last time she ever saw her late brother, Michael - saying it was "a lot of fun".


The Rhythm Nation singer said she spent time with Michael two days before her birthday in May.


She said: "We had a lot of fun, laughing.


"I was being silly, acting silly.


"And he was sitting in front of me and just cracking up, laughing at me. I was being loud. And he thought it was so funny."

Katherine Jackson, mother of the late king of pop, is seriously considering a wrongful death lawsuit agains his personal physician, Conrad Murray.


Murray is at the centre of the homicide probe into Michael Jackson's sudden death at the age of 50 on June 25. No charges have been laid but Murray has admitted administering the powerful sedatives that ultimately killed Jackson. The Nevada-based cardiac specialist has come under fire from Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson's grieving sister, who broke her silence to say she blames Murray.

Michael Jackson reportedly made 3D scans of his body in a bid to make a robot twin of himself.


The 50-year-old performer reportedly started the procedure 13 years ago and scientists are now claiming that the images could be used to bring him back in video games and music videos following his death in June.


The scans appeared after the owner, an American businessman who wants to remain anonymous, tried to sell the images for £1 million.


He said that Jacko posed for the shots 13 years ago and he added: "The data has been in our archives and vault since then.

The singer's final farewell - held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California and attended by his entire family and celebrities including Elizabeth Taylor, Quincy Jones, Lisa Marie Presley, Stevie Wonder and Gladys Knight - cost approximately US$1.1million and included a US$35,000 suit for Michael Jackson's remains, a US$25,000 gold casket and US$30,000 for security.

Michael Jackson's private funeral took place at a cost of $855,730.


A subject of controversy and much debate, the service finally took place after Jackson's body had been interred. He was laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale on September 3, more than two months after his sudden death on June 25.


Documents that were unsealed showed the cost, which was to be borne by his estate.


The $855,730 went to Forest Lawn, while the entombing of Jackson inside the Grand Mausoleum cost $590,000, the star's casket cost $25,000, and his burial garments came to $35,000.
