Moby adds to X Factor backlash

American DJ and singer Moby has joined a growing list of The X Factor trashers.


Moby took to the airwaves to say The X Factor cheapens everything he cares about. He was making an appearance on Live From Studio Five when he said: "I think shows like that are awful. I have no interest in it at all. I think it debases music and cheapens everything that I care about. I think that some great talent has come from that, but the musicians who I love are the ones who write their own songs."


Sting took a piece out of the hit UK talent show, calling it TV karaoke, while Calvin Harris claimed to be trying to demonstrate how "very stupid" the show is by storming its controversial act .....

Twilight actor Robert Pattinson has not seen any of the footage from new flick New Moon as he wants to be surprised by the final cut.


Robert, 23, is currently shooting the film and a 15-second preview of the upcoming film was recently released, but Robert admitted he hasn't seen any of it.


He said: "I haven't seen anything!


"I mean, from what I've seen from playback and stuff when I've been shooting it, it looks amazing. So I think [New Moon] should be [good].


"I'm keeping it as a surprise for myself."

Moby suffered a kick-boxing "injury" - when he broke his ankle walking into the ring.


The vegan chart star wanted to get in shape by going several rounds.


But he was left disappointed after suffering the injury and had to sit his turn out.


A source said: "He was overheard telling a guest that he fractured it walking in the ring."


The 43-year-old Play star - real name Richard Hall - was later heard joking to partygoers at a Svedka Vodka bash for his David Lynch-directed music video, Shot In The Back Of The Head, that he had brought his "geriatric walking stick" with him instead of a date, the New York Post reports.
