Adam Lambert 'to admit he is gay'

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert will "come out" in a US magazine, it has been claimed.

The 27-year-old, who was beaten in the TV talent show final by Kris Allen, has refused to talk about his sexuality. But it has been reported that he will confirm he is gay in a cover article with music publication Rolling Stone.

"He didn't want it to be an issue during the contest, but he's fine with his sexuality," an insider told a US newspaper.

When asked about his sexual preferences in the past, Lambert has only said: "Keep speculating."

A representative for Rolling Stone said: "We don't comment on future covers."
