5 Country Songs In Support of the Troops

Count on country music to have the troops' back.

This Tuesday, March 20th, CBS will broadcast the ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops, a two-hour concert event paying tribute to our country's remarkable all-volunteer military force. For the show, servicemen and women from the Army, Marine Cops, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard will perform with some of country music's biggest names, including stars like Dierks Bentley, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Merle Haggard, Hunter Hayes, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Eli Young Band, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and The Band Perry.

The country music genre has always shown outstanding support for the work of the brave men and women of the military, so we've assembled five standout country music songs written in support of the troops. Listen to them below and add your own suggestions in the comments.

Trace Adkins - "Til the Last Shot's Fired"

"Say a prayer for peace for every fallen son / Set my spirit free, let me lay down my gun"

Carrie Underwood - "Just a Dream"

"And then they handed her a folded up flag / And she held on to all she had left of him"

Dixie Chicks - "Travelin' Soldier"

Billy Ray Cyrus - "Some Gave All"

"Love your country and live with pride / And don't forget those who died"

Toby Keith - "American Soldier"
