5 Queens of the Stone Age Songs That Are Better When Heard Live

Count down the best live songs from QOTSA just in time for their ACL performance...

With the Austin City Limits Music Festival taking place this weekend and then the following weekend, we're getting pumped thinking about all the great artists that are performing live at the fest. Specifically, one of our favorite acts in rock right now: Queens Of The Stone Age. Their awesome 2013 album ...Like Clockwork has been on repeat on our iPods for months now, and we're still reeling from their slot on Live On Letterman, as well as the official backstage interview on the show.

The band's scheduled appearance at the 2013 ACL Festival got us to thinking: what songs by QOTSA are even better live than their recorded counterparts? Join us in our countdown as we go through the group's impressive catalogue and go from five to one:

5. "Sick, Sick, Sick"

A total eclipse in the teeth of the risk / The tongue is a twist, perpetual bliss / Forever midnight...

4. "No One Knows"

We get these pills to swallow / How they stick / In your throat / Taste like gold / Oh, what you do to me / No one knows...

3. "My God Is The Sun"

Heal them / Bright fire from a gun / Kneeling / My God is the Sun / Heal them / With fire from above / Kneeling / My God is the Sun...

2. "Little Sister"

Little sister can't you find another way / No more livin' life behind the shadow...

1. "3's & 7's"

The truth hurts so bad / Wouldn't you say? So why tell it? / If ignorance is bliss / Then I'm in heaven now...

Tickets are still up for grabs at the 2013 ACL Festival. What are your favorite QOTSA songs live?
